My name is Jason Taylor. I got my first camera when I was twelve, in 1977... a Nikon FM manual film camera, with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AI lens.
Back then we used to have to develop our own film, and most of us older photographers had elaborate darkrooms to do our own prints.
I continued to top of the line medium-format Hasselblad cameras and Carl Zeiss lenses.
I absolutely love photography, and have spent a lifetime in awe of its beauty and power.
I currently use a professional full-frame Nikon. This camera uses a sensor the size of 35mm film.
I also use a world-class, specially designed Nikon portrait lens *only*.
If you get headshots made with anything less, you are wasting your money.
I only use world-class Elinchrom and Metz lighting.
I do all my own retouching, having almost a decade of extensive Photoshop experience.
When I looked for photographers for my own headshot, I was disappointed with the quality of images I saw.
I decided that my 30 year passion for photography should be put to use, and I created Wonton Studios NYC.
